Serena is My TMNT OC, she is a mutant clone of LeatherHead. Kraang created experiment, she was created for intelligence. She is very smart but doesn't like to show it, due to her fear of just about everything that moves. When she gets to know someone she opens right up and is like a happy little kid, at age 15 she acts very immature.  Never having a childhood or any other sort of interactions she is basically a child.

Back story:

Leatherhead is a mutant alligator captured by the Kraang, and experimented on for years. He was the only alligator, until he was cloned. The Kraang took Leatherhead’s DNA and starting doing  clone experiments. They came out with over 200 clones. Three different types, Experiments, Combat, and Intelligence. One hundred Experiments, one hundred Combat and 50 Intelligence clones where made for testing. Both female and male clones where created. They mixed many different kinds of DNA building blocks into them: strong, smaller and more easier to deal with. The day Leatherhead escaped however, when he stole the power cell, the lab’s power shut down.  Cooling machines where offline, and the high power computers exploded, killing many of the clones and other mutations. A massive fire broke out, consuming everything in its path.  But some did survive. EA78, CA57 and IA36. IA36 was one of the smallest of all the clones, she had proven the most developed and could pass any test the Kraang had. When the fire had first started, her testing tube was broken. She fell to the ground, cutting her tail on the glass shards. IA36 had passed out due to the smoke, after the Kraang were able to put out the fire they looked for any survivors, Kraang or mutant. They found several other mutants among the debris. IA36 was under a door that had fallen, and acid had gotten onto her tail as well as the glass and fire burns on her body. The Kraang took her to a closed lab to heal her, but she wasn't getting any better. IA36 was the last IA clone they had. Soon after getting the power cell back, they brought her to Earth to see if she could be helped there. But the Kraang didn't really want to save her, they just need her long enough for more cloning, and then they would dispose IA36. Overall testing on her had come to a pause, due to Shredder entering the Kraang’s plans. Kraang started making more and more robots, forgetting about cloning. Shredder went to TCRI to check up on the Kraang’s work. He had noticed the Kraang’s cloning lab one the way to the Footbot factory. Shredder saw how advanced the Kraang’s cloning ability was and ordered his own army, and the Kraang said no. He was already getting the Footbots. Shredder was ferocious and took some of their data without them knowing. Including IA36. When the clone came too, Shredder immediately began trying to train her to fight. But IA was not for fighting, she was useless. Shredder had no need for a mutant that couldn't fight, but Karai had other plans. Karai got Shredder to keep IA36 for little things like, making tea or cleaning. They soon named her, Serena. She never argued or acted up… until she saw the Kraang come to meet with Shredder. That's when she ran, ran and ran and ran. Not looking back. She was free.
